The Montana Branch Library is popular with local residents due to its spacious yet cozy atmosphere and its broad selection of books and periodicals. Their digital Image Archives include a substantial collection of historical photographs, postcards and other images that illustrate the history of the Santa Monica Bay Area including Venice, Topanga, Malibu, and Pacific Palisades from 1875 to the present.
MLA worked with Killefer Flammang to control reverberant noise on the interior of the space while coordinating the location and palate of absorptive panels with the décor of the library.
